Dr Michael Kingdon is accredited by UNESCO and IAEA as an international expert in assessment and he has over 25 years of experience of designing, developing, managing and evaluating professional qualifications. His assessment research, management and consultancy experience ranges from SATS, GCSE and A/AS examinations, to vocational and professional qualifications. His qualifications span education, mathematics and management, and he is a chartered member of two professional bodies. Currently, Dr Kingdon is a Principal Education Consultant for Entity
Chris Finlay is Managing and Founding Director of Entity Group Limited, started in 1987. Chris has over 37 years experience in the IT industry generally, with 28 of those years as a software and consultancy services provider. Chris has a passion for delivering advice and systems that really drive the success of its customers, and Entity is focused on understanding customers business requirements rapidly and accurately, building business applications that are robust, easy to maintain and that are truly scaleable - and delivering them on time, to budget and to specification [Entity uses industry best practice tools and code generation techniques that enable it to compete on world markets]. Entity focus on three main market sectors, Education, Rights Management and Master Data Management. Chris also continues to pursue his personal passion to make a difference in education through the introduction of common coding, standardised processes, secure central product and customer records, and common data exchange mechanisms (borne out of a series of studies carried out for QCA with colleges and schools, and from personal research).
Martyn Roads is an independent education and assessment consultant. He spent 13 years in Further Education, developing and managing a wide range of vocational programmes before joining BTEC in 1994. In 2001, he was responsible for managing, on behalf of a consortium of Awarding Bodies, the successful bid for the development of the current Key Skills and Skills for Life National Tests. For the past 4 years, Martyn has been researching and implementing the use of IT in assessment which has included working with a consortium of organisations on the development of a range of screening and initial assessment tools for the SfLSU. Martyn was co-author of QCA’s “Use of ICT in Assessment” report to the DfES in 2002 and is currently working with QCA on a number of projects including supporting the production of the e-Assessment – Effective Practice Guide. Martyn is also Chair of Becta’s e-assessment advisory group. The last seven years has seen joint responsibility for many successful conferences, seminars and events across the globe focused on Skills Development and the use of IT in education and training.
Jeff Ross is an Independent Prince II project manager and consultant supporting clients managing the development and introduction of IT systems to meet business and administrative needs. He has a wide breadth of experience and expertise in e-Assessment, e-learning and the change management involving the use of IT in the education, training and human development fields. Previously he was a senior manager with a major awarding body he has an in depth operational knowledge of qualification development and delivery, The last seven years has seen joint responsibility for many successful conferences, seminars and events across the globe focused on Skills Development and the use of IT in education and training.
